Baptist Health is hiring a Physician Coder to join our Physician Billing Office team in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time day shift remote role supports accurate coding and compliant reimbursement across specialties, reviewing clinical documentation and assigning ICD-10-CM and CPT codes in line with guidelines.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of Clinical Documentation, E/M coding, and physician coding experience, including CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS, plus CPC or CCS-P certification.

Qualifikationen

• 1–2 years of Clinical Documentation experience
• 1–2 years of E/M coding experience
• 1–2 years of physician coding, CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS
• 1–2 years of outpatient procedural coding experience
• 1–2 years of minor outpatient coding experience

Aufgaben

• Review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and CPT-4 procedure codes.
• Perform evaluation and management (E/M) coding across applicable places of service.
• Code minor office procedures, specialty-specific testing, outpatient procedures, and minor surgeries.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with guidelines and regulations.
• Review medical records to support code assignment and accurate physician billing.
• Identify and resolve coding discrepancies or documentation issues.
