Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Remote Physician Pro Fee Coding Specialist (Denials) focused on OBGYN to review, assign, and audit CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for professional services documented in medical records.

You will ensure proper sequencing, modifier usage, and adherence to payer policies, collaborating with physicians and revenue cycle teams to optimize reimbursement and coding integrity.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS for physician/professional services.
• Familiarity with NCCI edits, LCD/NCD guidelines, and payer billing guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assigns accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for professional services based on provider documentation.
• Ensures compliance with governmental regulations, payer policies, and coding protocols.
• Performs coding audits and quality reviews to verify documentation accuracy.
• Works coding-related claim edits and scrubs in the billing system to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Collaborates with physicians and revenue cycle teams to ensure compliant documentation.
• Performs edit checks on coded data before transmission and corrects errors.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality and company compliance policies.
• Escalates documentation or coding issues to education teams for training.
• Participates in coding-related special projects for accurate reporting and improvement.
• Maintains regular attendance and adheres to company policies.
