Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Remote Physician Pro Fee Coding Specialist-Anesthesia to review and assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for professional services. You will ensure proper sequencing, modifiers, and place-of-service coding in line with regulations and payer policies.

Responsibilities include coding audits, collaborating with physicians and revenue cycle teams, and maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of physician coding, professional fee coding, or medical billing experience.
• Experience with multiple specialties, surgical coding, or high-volume professional fee coding preferred.
• Licensing/Certifications: CCS-P or AHIMA/APC or RHIT/RHIA as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assigns accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for professional services based on provider documentation.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and payer policies, following NCCI, LCDs, and NCDs.
• Performs coding audits and quality reviews to verify documentation accuracy.
• Manages coding-related claim edits and scrubs in the billing system to support timely reimbursement.
• Collaborates with physicians and revenue cycle teams to ensure compliant documentation.
