Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Remote Physician Pro Fee Coding Specialist-Hospital Medicine NICU and ICU to review, analyze, and assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for professional services documented in medical records. You will ensure proper sequencing, modifiers, and place-of-service coding in compliance with regulations and payer policies.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems for physician/professional fee services.
• Understanding of modifier usage and place-of-service coding.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR), coding software, and claim processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Assigns accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for professional services based on provider documentation.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and payer policies, following NCCI edits, LCDs, and NCDs.
• Performs coding audits and quality reviews to improve documentation and education.
