Job summary

ZBeta is a remote-first physical security design and consulting firm that partners with high-profile clients to architect and engineer security solutions. The System Design Engineer develops customized technical designs for client projects and supports project managers while contributing to tool development and knowledge sharing.

The full-time remote role requires 5+ years in security design, proficiency with Revit/AutoCAD, and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security system design and/or security technology experience required.
• 2+ years Revit and/or AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Associate degree or relevant work experience; Autodesk Revit certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and review security design drawings, plans, and diagrams.
• Coordinate architectural, electrical, and telecom infrastructure for projects.
• Present calculations and comment on specifications and submittals.
• Conduct technical studies including cable routing, power, and bandwidth calculations.
• Research security products and keep skills up to date.
• Lead project activities within budget and schedule with the project manager.
