Job summary

TEECOM is a fully remote consulting firm hiring across the US, UK, and India. Security discipline roles span from Designer II to Principal with levels determined by assessment.

You will design physical and electronic security systems, produce construction documents, and coordinate with architects, IT, and client teams. A four-year degree or equivalent experience is required; certifications like PSP/CPP are a plus, with remote collaboration and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience designing electronic and physical security systems across multiple facilities.
• Familiarity with leading security platforms (Lenel, Software House, Genetec, Milestone, Axis, Bosch, Commend, Zenitel).
• Ability to produce construction documents — device layouts, schedules, diagrams, panel layouts.
• Understanding of IP networking as it applies to security systems (VLANs, PoE, bandwidth, storage).
• Knowledge of electrified door hardware interfacing with access control.
• Familiarity with NFPA 72, UL standards and physical security codes.
• Experience with intrusion detection, visitor management, or integrated security command centers (preferred).
• Degree in engineering, CS, technology management or related technical field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
• ASIS PSP or CPP certification (preferred).
• PE license (electrical preferred) — plus.
• Experience with Revit for security systems documentation.
• Ability to manage independent work across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead security system design strategies and develop security standards.
• Mentor junior designers and manage client relationships.
• Coordinate with architects, IT, door hardware specifiers, system manufacturers, and client teams.
• Create construction docs, basis of design reports, and system acceptance plans.
• Support projects through construction administration and testing.
