Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Refill Authorization Pharmacy Team in a fully remote role. The position collaborates with pharmacists and technicians to ensure timely access to medications for primary care clinics, with 40-hour schedule and 8- to 10-hour shifts.

Candidates must hold an active pharmacy technician license in UT, CO, MT, or NV; remote applicants outside these states will not be considered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license for state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts to verify refill eligibility under EMRC.
• Gather and review clinical information to support refill requests.
• Prepare refill authorization requests in pharmacy systems per policy.
• Ensure documentation is complete before pharmacist review.
• Route refill requests to pharmacist for verification.
• Communicate with pharmacists and care team about missing info.
• Escalate safety concerns to the pharmacist.
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient records.
• Navigate multiple systems in a remote work environment.
• Collaborate with a large remote team and build professional relationships.
