Job summary

Intermountain Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for the Hybrid Location at Midvale, UT. This full-time role supports a team ensuring timely access to prescribed medications, with shifts 8- or 10-hours, Mon-Fri and Saturdays, 8:00 am–4:00 pm.

The position emphasizes patient care coordination, prior authorizations, and collaboration with providers and payers within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of approved drugs, controlled substances, and investigational agents.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining appropriate records as required by regulation and policy.
• Utilize pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders for dispensing and perform calculations.
• Accurately fills and maintains medication supplies including controlled substances inventories.
• Communicates with caregivers regarding responsibilities and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
