Job summary

Intermountain Health's Home Delivery Pharmacy Team in Midvale, UT is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing medication orders, resolving coverage barriers, and coordinating with providers and payers to prevent delays in therapy.

This PRN hybrid role supports patient care, with shifts that align to demand. You will work closely with the care team to ensure timely access to prescribed medications and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

High School or equivalent is required.
Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
Lapse or failure to meet requirements may result in disciplinary action.

Responsibilities

Assists the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records as required by regulation and policy.
Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders, performs calculations, and compounds medications per site procedures.
Attains supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist(s) and understands when verification is required.
Accurately fills and maintains medication supplies, including controlled substances inventories.
Communicates with caregivers regarding responsibilities and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
Promotes Intermountain Health mission, values, and service behavior standards.
