Job summary

Intermountain Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for a fully remote role supporting refill authorizations across Intermountain clinics. You will verify eligibility, collect labs and medication history, and prepare refill requests under pharmacist supervision.

The position requires an active pharmacy technician license for Utah, Colorado, Montana or Nevada, with on-camera video interview and on-site meetings as needed. Flexible shifts and PRN as scheduled.

Qualifications

High School or equivalent is required.
Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding pharmacy practice and drug distribution.

Responsibilities

Reviews patient charts to verify eligibility for refill under the EMRC collaborative practice agreement.
Gathers and reviews relevant clinical information to support refill requests.
Prepares and documents refill authorization requests using pharmacy technology systems.
Ensures all required criteria are complete prior to pharmacist review.
Routes completed refill requests to the pharmacist for final verification.
