Actalent is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to work with Medicare and Medicaid patients, focusing on prior authorizations in a 100% remote role based out of Columbus, OH. The position involves intake and technical review within the MedPharm environment.

The role requires PA processing experience, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Training is scheduled weekdays EST.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician certification required.
• Experience with data entry and managed care.
• Prior Authorization processing experience.
• Ability to provide strong customer service.
• Proficient computer skills with HIPAA awareness.
• Capable of remote, independent work.

Responsibilities

• Handle intake of PA cases and set up in system.
• Review PA cases to determine coverage and eligibility.
• Approve or deny medications based on criteria.
• Read criteria, SOPs, and insurance docs for decisions.
• Provide customer service over the phone and manage calls.
