Job summary

Actalent is hiring 100% remote Pharmacy Technicians to join a large healthcare insurance team. The role focuses on reviewing prior authorizations, approving or denying determinations, and collaborating with pharmacists.

It is fully computer-based with minimal phone work and requires HIPAA compliance and strong remote-work setup. Responsibilities include processing prescription exceptions, data entry, and resolving insurance billing issues while maintaining high service levels across multiple

Qualifications

2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
Experience with Prior Authorization processes.
Customer service experience required.
Strong computer skills and data entry
Ability to work remotely in a distraction-free, HIPAA-compliant environment.

Responsibilities

Review prior authorizations for determination.
Approve or deny health plan requests; route to pharmacist for review when needed.
Enter member demographics and prescription data into systems.
Resolve rejected insurance billing issues and assist with escalations.
Handle inbound/outbound calls from patients or physicians.
