Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for a 100% remote contract role. The candidate will support coverage determinations and prior authorizations for Medicare Part D, coordinating with prescribers, providers, and members to ensure timely processing.

The role requires active pharmacy technician licensure, 1+ year experience, and strong communication. Training will occur with typical hours and potential weekend work after training.

Qualifications

• Active state or national pharmacy technician license.
• Pharmacy technician certificate or equivalent credential.
• At least 1 year experience in retail/hospital/mail order pharmacy.
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in mail order or retail pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage and track coverage determination requests for prior authorizations.
• Review requests and determine pharmacist review when needed.
• Obtain verbal authorizations and request clinical information.
• Approve determinations based on criteria.
• Document decisions in PBM system and notify providers/members.
