Job summary

C4 Technical Services is seeking Certified Pharmacy Technicians for a 6-month contract (possible extension) in Minnesota. The role focuses on inbound calls, prior authorization evaluations, and medication determinations with emphasis on accurate documentation and patient care.

Requirements include 2+ years of Pharmacy Tech experience, a valid state license, and the ability to work remote with a private work area. Shifts are 8-hour blocks with EST coverage, starting 10/05/2026.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Pharmacy Tech experience required.
• Call Center role with inbound calls all day.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and authorizes approval of prior authorization pharmacy requests from prescribers by telephone or fax.
• Determines appropriateness for medications.
• Communicates decision to physicians, staff and pharmacists.
• Researches, resolves and documents prior authorization outcomes in pharmacy system.
• Explains prior authorization criteria and formulary alternatives to physicians and staff.
• Escalates complex cases to Pharmacist for clinical review or denial.
• Monitors inbound call workload to maintain service levels.
• Identifies training needs; acts as mentor and coach.
• Shares best practices and fosters a positive team environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
