Job summary

Waymark is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide virtual, primarily telephonic support to Medicaid patients in Virginia. You will work with Waymark pharmacists and a multidisciplinary team to help patients access medications and address barriers to adherence, leveraging telehealth modalities and data-driven care.

You will report to the Clinical Pharmacist Lead in Virginia and engage with CHWs, care coordinators, and therapists to support wrap-around services and improve outcomes for

Qualifications

• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
• Comfort engaging patients telephonically and with providers/pharmacies.
• Detail-oriented, customer service mindset, motivated problem solver.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems including EHRs and spreadsheets.
• Experience with and commitment to improving care for underserved populations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient medication needs with CHW, care coordinators and therapists.
• Perform telephonic and SMS outreach to address medication access issues and adherence.
• Coordinate with external providers and Waymark team to provide timely medication information and access.
• Assist patients and providers with prior authorizations, formulary changes, and substitutions.
• Obtain and document medication information, verify eligibility and benefits.
• Provide accurate documentation to support productivity and quality metrics.
• Participate in innovation in a startup environment to improve processes and patient experience.
