Job summary

Waymark is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to provide virtual Medicaid support. You will collaborate with Waymark pharmacists and care teams to help patients access medications, address barriers to adherence, and coordinate with providers for prior authorizations and formulary changes.

You will work with CHWs, therapists, and care coordinators in a startup-like environment, communicating via telehealth channels for optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio State Pharmacy Technician license in good standing.
• PTCB CPhT certification required.
• Minimum 2 years in outpatient/primary care/clinic or managed care settings.
• Commitment to improving care for underserved populations.
• Strong collaboration in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication with patients and clinicians telephonically.
• Proficient with multiple computer systems including EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medication needs with CHWs, care coordinators, and therapists.
• Perform telephonic/SMS outreach to address access and adherence issues.
• Coordinate with providers to facilitate medication access and triage inquiries.
• Assist in prior authorizations, formulary changes, and substitutions with care teams.
• Document medication information and verify eligibility and benefits.
• Provide timely documentation to meet productivity/quality metrics.
• Identify trends and participate in process improvements.
