Job summary

Virta Health is seeking a Virtual Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy enablement, handling prescription workflows and coordination with RNs, providers, and coaches. This role emphasizes accuracy, timely processing, and adherence to SOPs in a remote-first setup.

You will work with e-prescribing tools, medical records systems, and collaboration platforms while contributing to continuous improvement and exceptional member experiences.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask across prescription processing and workflow tasks.
• Proficiency with e-prescribing tools and medical records systems.
• Experience with communication platforms in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Apply medication knowledge to ensure accuracy in processing prescriptions, refills, and prior authorizations.
• Identify and elevate potential prescribing or workflow issues to senior team members as needed.
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and coaches to coordinate care and resolve member issues.
• Communicate updates clearly and document all activities accurately within established systems.
• Process clinical tickets promptly and accurately, routing faxes, labs, and records appropriately.
• Follow established SOPs to maintain consistency and compliance.
• Support efficiency and quality improvement initiatives under senior guidance.
• Provide dependable support to clinical staff for routine and urgent requests.
• Participate in team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and ongoing training opportunities.
