Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support patient assistance programs and medication access from a remote location. The role involves handling PAP, eligibility and foundation funding processes, and coordinating with patients, pharmacists and external organizations to resolve access barriers.

You'll maintain accurate records, verify documentation, and work in a compliant, privacy-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy tech credential from NHA or PTCB obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
• State licensure in the supported state.

Responsibilities

• Experience supporting Patient Assistance Programs (PAP), medication access, benefit investigations, and specialty prior authorizations.
• Knowledge of patient assistance resources, eligibility requirements, application processing, and foundation funding.
• Communicates with patients, pharmacists, prescribers, specialty pharmacies, and external assistance organizations to resolve medication access barriers.
• Maintains accurate patient records, verifies supporting documentation, and follows applicable privacy, regulatory, and program requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and follow‑up skills to manage assistance applications, track approvals, and coordinate patient cases independently in a remote environment.
