Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor to lead a team of pharmacists and technicians in a remote role, with licensing required in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, or Tennessee. Hours typically Monday–Friday 8 am–5 pm ET; flexibility for after-hours support.

The role oversees staffing, workflow, quality, and cost controls. It works with the Senior Pharmacy Manager to develop policies and improvements, and requires leadership and strong communication to drive results.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in the state of employment.
• 3+ years of pharmacy experience; 1+ years in leadership; preferably one year at Express Scripts.
• Current pharmacy licensure in good standing.
• General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office, Internet, and email.
• Strong knowledge of current pharmacy regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to develop team members.
• Experience training and coaching less experienced staff.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and make independent decisions.
• Willingness to travel 10%.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and monitor staff and day-to-day workflow.
• Develop employees' skills, evaluate performance and provide feedback.
• Oversee resolution of employee relations.
• Conduct hiring, training, and evaluation of staff.
• Develop, track and monitor compliance to quality, service and production standards.
• Monitor prescription turnaround time and phone service to meet standards.
• Assist in monitoring costs to ensure budget goals.
• Address staff concerns and operational issues.
• Work in production as needed.
• Implement programs to improve internal and external service.
• Analyze operations to improve efficiency.
• Serve as escalation point for issues requiring expertise.
• Represent pharmacy operations in cross-functional meetings.
