Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Part-Time Remote Staff Pharmacist to support telepharmacy services across multiple hospitals in the United States. This remote role requires active licensure and strong clinical knowledge to verify orders and assist care teams.

You will work in a compliant, HIPAA-focused environment with a flexible schedule that may include evenings, overnights, and weekends. Prior hospital pharmacy experience and multi-state licensure (IL, IN, KS, MO, IA) are prioritized.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in IL, IN, KS, MO, IA; willingness to obtain others.
• At least 1 year hospital pharmacy experience required.
• Bachelor's in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
• Ability to work part-time including evenings, overnights, weekends.
• Home internet with cable or fiber; speeds 10Mbps/5Mbps minimum.

Responsibilities

• Telepharmacy Services: perform remote order entry, order verification, and drug verification.
• Provide patient counseling when needed and communicate with care teams.
• Navigate multiple pharmacy information systems (PIS).
• Clinical Support: provide drug information and therapeutic guidance to providers.
• Assess medication appropriateness, dosing, interactions, and special populations.
• Maintain knowledge of IV therapies, TPN, and complex regimens.
• Operational Excellence: document interventions promptly and accurately.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Technical & Professional Skills: work across VPNs and PIS; use Google Suite/Microsoft Office; maintain licenses and access.
• Training & Performance: participate in ongoing training; meet productivity and quality standards.
