Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a pharmacist for a 100% remote role focused on prescription order entry, verification and processing for renal disease medications. This position supports MMS Solutions, a division serving nephrology offices and patients at home.

The role is full-time with a flex schedule; shifts vary 8:00a–4:30p or 10:00a–6:30p CST. Requires TN Pharmacist License and 1–2 years of experience; vendor credentials may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• TN Pharmacist License required.
• May require vendor credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and check drug/dose in relation to patient condition.
• Enter/validate medication orders in client facility pharmacy information system.
• Prioritize orders based on queue/status (e.g., STAT).
• Comply with State Board of Pharmacy rules and Remote Pharmacy Services policies.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, patients and healthcare providers.
• Provide drug information and ensure consults are accurate and complete.
• Review orders entered by technicians/clerks for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Attend staff meetings and complete required training.
