Job summary

OptumRx in Knoxville, TN is seeking a licensed Pharmacist with 3+ years of experience, including outpatient or retail settings, to join a team focused on TennCare education, audit follow-up, and provider engagement. Strong presentation skills and proficient MS Office use are required. Remote work is possible with local travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities include provider education, TennCare program compliance, and collaboration with the OptumRx team to support clients and clinicians.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Tennessee.
• 3+ years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist, with at least 1 year in outpatient/retail.
• Experience delivering formal presentations.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to travel locally up to 75% in the Knoxville, TN area.

Responsibilities

• Provider education programs, training, relations and service.
• Follow-up after pharmacy audit and audit assistance.
• Academic detailing of prescribers and pharmacy providers.
• TennCare PDL compliance initiatives.
• DUR and Provider Practice Activity follow up.
• Education and assistance for Providers working with TennCare utilization management programs.
• Collaborate with client and OptumRx Account Director and Clinical team.
