Job summary

OptumRx, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks an experienced Pharmacist to support TennCare in Knoxville, TN. The role includes provider education, audits, and academic detailing with local travel up to 75%. Remote work is possible, with the expectation of onsite collaboration as needed.

Required are a PharmD or a PharmD-equivalent degree, Tennessee licensure, and 3+ years of pharmacy practice including presentations. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Tennessee.
• 3+ years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist, with at least 1 year in outpatient/retail pharmacy.
• Experience delivering formal presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to travel locally up to 75% in the Knoxville, TN area.

Responsibilities

• Provider education programs, training, relations and service.
• Follow-up after pharmacy audit and audit assistance.
• Academic detailing of prescribers and pharmacy providers.
• TennCare PDL compliance initiatives.
• DUR and Provider Practice Activity follow up.
• Education and assistance for Providers in working with TennCare Program utilization management programs (e.g. PA requests, attestations, emergency supply).
• Work closely with client and OptumRx Account Director and Clinical team.
