Job summary
UnitedHealth Group's OptumRx in Tennessee is seeking a Pharmacist to support TennCare programs in the Knoxville area. You will lead provider education, audit follow-ups, and clinical detailing to ensure compliance with TennCare policies.
Requirements include a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, Tennessee license (unrestricted), 3+ years of relevant experience, and strong presentation skills. Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook and ability to travel locally up to 75% are expected.
Qualifications
- Pharmacist license in Tennessee (unrestricted)
- 3+ years as licensed Pharmacist, outpatient/retail preferred
- Experience delivering formal presentations and trainings
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Able to travel locally up to 75% in the Knoxville, TN area
Responsibilities
- Provider education programs, training, relations and service
- Follow-up after pharmacy audit and audit assistance
- Academic detailing of prescribers and pharmacy providers
- TennCare PDL compliance initiatives
- DUR and Provider Practice Activity follow up
- Education and assistance for Providers in TennCare utilization management programs (PA requests, attestations, etc.)
- Collaborate with client, Account Director and Clinical team
