Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a PFS Representative in a remote-capable role in the United States. The position involves patient billing and collection activities within the revenue cycle, focusing on denials management and payor research to obtain payments according to contracts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of patient financial services or medical claims experience.
• Experience with submitting appeals and understanding of EOB.
• General knowledge of claim-processing codes.

Responsibilities

• Process payments, adjustments, claims, refunds, denials and payment plans accurately.
• Balance accounts, pursue payments and denials with payors and contracts.
• Research payments and denials; make corrections and appeals as needed.
• Build relationships with business units and patient financial services staff.
• Respond to calls and resolve billing, payment and accounting issues for customers.
• Work with the team to reduce days and dollars of outstanding AR.
• Document activities in systems and communicate with payors accurately.
• Operate under supervision, using established standards to solve problems.
