Job summary

briefCASE Legal Support, LLC offers a remote Legal Assistant role supporting a Texas-based personal injury practice with U.S.-based attorneys. You will handle discovery, pleadings, and client communications while coordinating with case managers and investigators.

This independent contractor position allows work from outside the United States, offering exposure to pre-litigation and litigation processes and opportunities to contribute to meaningful client outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with a U.S.-based personal injury law firm.
• Litigation support experience including discovery and pleadings.
• Pre-litigation experience with medical records and insurance claims.
• Experience with legal case management software.
• Ability to work independently with a U.S.-based legal team.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys and case managers through the personal injury litigation process.
• Prepare and organize pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Coordinate discovery and monitor deadlines and court dates.
• Open, organize, and maintain client files in Filevine or similar software.
• Schedule client meetings, depositions, and other case-related appointments.
