BriefCASE Legal Support, LLC seeks a Legal Assistant to support DJC Law, PLLC, a Texas-based personal injury firm, in a remote, independent contractor capacity outside the United States. You will manage case tasks, client communications, and medical records, helping move cases from pre-litigation through settlement.

Ideal candidates have U.S. personal injury experience, bilingual English/Spanish skills, and proficiency with MS Office and case management systems.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a U.S.-based personal injury firm.
• Bilingual English and Spanish with strong communication skills.
• Hands-on pre-litigation personal injury experience including client communication and medical records.
• Familiarity with discovery, pleadings, court filings, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Experience with legal case management systems and document drafting.

Responsabilités

• Support clients with case updates and scheduling, maintaining professional communication.
• Open and maintain client files in Filevine or similar system, track deadlines and activity.
• Coordinate medical records, bills, accident reports, and other case documents.
• Draft correspondence, discovery requests/responses, and basic legal documents under supervision.
• Assist with settlement preparation and communicate with insurance adjusters as needed.
• Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and other events; maintain calendars.
• Collaborate with attorneys, case managers, and investigators to progress cases.
• Assist with intake, records retrieval, and other case-related tasks.
