Jobot is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to join our litigation team in a fully remote capacity, handling single event personal injury and medical malpractice cases from inception through resolution.

Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar license in good standing.
• 2-12 years of litigation experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, or a related practice area.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to analyze complex medical records.
• Experience taking and defending depositions, including expert depositions.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of favorable case outcomes.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a caseload independently in a remote setting.
• Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office.

Aufgaben

• Manage a caseload of single event personal injury and medical malpractice matters from intake through settlement or trial.
• Evaluate case merits, liability, causation, and damages to develop effective case strategy.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, treating physicians, and expert witnesses.
• Review and analyze medical records, billing, and expert reports to build strong damages models.
• Identify, retain, and work closely with medical and liability experts.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
• Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial, and participate in trial as needed.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing case updates and managing expectations.
• Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and fellow attorneys in a remote team environment.
