Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to join our litigation team in a fully remote capacity, handling a mix of single event personal injury and medical malpractice cases from inception through resolution.

Qualified candidates hold a JD, active bar license, and 2–12 years of litigation experience with strong writing and negotiation skills. We offer comprehensive benefits, PTO, 401(k), and generous compensation including an origination bonus of 10% and a referral bonus of 5%.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of personal injury and medical malpractice matters from intake to resolution.
• Develop case strategy by evaluating merits, liability, and damages.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other documents.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, physicians, and experts.
• Negotiate settlements with insurers and opposing counsel.
• Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial; participate in trial as needed.
• Maintain client communications and manage expectations in a remote team.

Job Details

We are seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to join our litigation team in a fully remote capacity, handling a mix of single event personal injury and medical malpractice cases from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of single event personal injury and medical malpractice matters from intake through settlement or trial
• Evaluate case merits, liability, causation, and damages to develop effective case strategy
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents
• Take and defend depositions of parties, treating physicians, and expert witnesses
• Review and analyze medical records, billing, and expert reports to build strong damages models
• Identify, retain, and work closely with medical and liability experts
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel
• Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial, and participate in trial as needed
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing case updates and managing expectations
• Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and fellow attorneys in a remote team environment

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active bar license in good standing
• 2-12 years of litigation experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, or a related practice area
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to analyze complex medical records
• Experience taking and defending depositions, including expert depositions
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of favorable case outcomes
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a caseload independently in a remote setting
• Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office
