Jobot is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to join its litigation team in a fully remote capacity, handling single event personal injury and medical malpractice cases from inception through resolution.

The ideal candidate will have a JD, active bar license, 2–12 years of relevant litigation experience, strong legal research and writing skills, and proven deposition experience. A thorough understanding of medical terminology and remote work self-management is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar license in good standing.
• 2-12 years of litigation experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and ability to read complex medical records.
• Experience taking and defending depositions, including expert depositions.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of favorable outcomes.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a caseload independently in a remote setting.
• Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office.

Aufgaben

• Manage a caseload of personal injury and medical malpractice matters from intake through settlement or trial.
• Evaluate case merits, liability, causation, and damages to develop strategy.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, treating physicians, and experts.
• Review medical records, billing, and expert reports to build damages models.
• Identify and work with medical and liability experts.
• Negotiate settlements with insurers and opposing counsel.
• Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial; participate in trial as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and provide case updates.
