Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Permitting Specialist in Cincinnati to research and prepare permit packages for cable and fiber optic projects, coordinating with local authorities and agencies to secure approvals.

You will manage permit applications, track compliance, and build relationships with municipalities, with up to 15% travel and a remote-friendly schedule, supporting project timelines across North America.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of permitting experience in Telecommunications, Outside Plant or Field Operations.
• Experience submitting permit packages for telecom, power, gas, construction or other utility projects.
• Understanding of outside plant design principles, work order procedures, and telecom standards.
• Knowledge of local authority regulations; familiarity with DOT/Federal/County requirements preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel; scheduling software; familiarity with Quick Base preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to interact with key contacts.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains relationships with municipalities and governing bodies to obtain permitting approvals.
• Resolves permitting issues to meet project deliverables.
• Gathers information and identifies permitting requirements for projects.
• Develops solutions to address anticipated challenges.
• Informs teams about regulatory requirements during approval and construction stages.
• Acts as SME on local municipal and state codes.
• Coordinates and tracks permit applications and compliance during approval and construction phases.
• Oversees document control and ensures customer requirements are met.
