Job summary

Lawrence Group, a leading design and project delivery firm in St. Louis, is seeking a Permitting Specialist to manage and coordinate the permitting process for architectural projects across multiple jurisdictions.

You will work closely with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure timely permit submissions and approvals, leveraging strong knowledge of codes and regulations. The role supports a fully remote environment, offering collaboration with architects, engineers, and PMs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field OR relevant experience.
• 7+ years of experience in permitting or code compliance within the architectural or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the preparation and submission of permit applications for architectural projects.
• Research and interpret local, state, and federal building codes, zoning ordinances, and permitting requirements.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Lawrence Group and permitting authorities.
• Track and monitor the status of permit applications and proactively resolve issues or delays.
• Maintain accurate records of all permitting documentation and correspondence.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding permitting timelines and requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.
