Lawrence Group in St. Louis is seeking a Project Architect to support our growing Higher Education and student housing studio.

The ideal candidate will lead design development from concept through construction, collaborate with clients and consultants, and oversee project teams to ensure quality, schedule, and budgets. With a architecture degree, licensure, and 10–15 years of experience, you will mentor junior staff, stay current on codes and sustainability, and contribute to innovative campus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Architect with 10-15 years of experience in design and architecture preferred.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects from concept to completion.
• Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of student housing and higher education projects from concept through construction administration, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and requirements, and translate them into innovative design solutions that exceed expectations.
• Collaborate with project teams, including architects, designers, engineers, and consultants, to ensure effective communication, coordination, and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits, assessments, and analysis to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry & campus standards.
• Prepare and present design concepts, drawings, renderings, and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
• Lead the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and bid packages, and coordinate with contractors and vendors during the construction and design phase.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, and proactively identify and address any issues or risks that may impact project outcomes.
• Foster a creative and collaborative work environment, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continuous improvement of architectural processes and practices.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to higher education design, sustainability, and building performance.
• Requires high level of understanding of technical aspects of the project as well as accessibility requirements
