Job summary

CCI Systems, Inc. is seeking a Permit Specialist to research, prepare, submit, and track permits across projects, coordinating with agencies, utilities, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely approvals.

The role supports workflow management, customer service, SLA compliance, quality assurance, and timely project delivery, with data entry, reporting, and strong written/verbal communication in a remote-friendly, full-time setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of right-of-way permitting or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years cable engineering support experience.
• Experience using GIS programs such as QIS and ArcGIS.
• Skilled in managing different types of permitting processes, including production-based permitting.
• Working knowledge of cable design principles and basic construction practices related to cable systems.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to update and/or create PDF maps for permits using Bluebeam, Nitro or PDF editor.
• Microsoft D365, Salesforce, O-Calc Pro, QuickBase, NJUNS, ALDEN, AutoCAD software experience.
• Keen attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, and thrive in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Enter incoming work into internal/client databases accurately and on time.
• Research permitting and approvals from agencies and utilities.
• Gather data for permit requests.
• Manage the full lifecycle of permit acquisition and tracking across all projects.
• Maintain real-time status updates in databases.
• Review and track subcontractor invoices per timelines.
• Ensure timely processing of permit fees.
• Prepare reports for daily/weekly tasks and leadership.
• Provide updates to Permitting Supervisor and Leadership.
