Job summary

Affect is seeking an empathic Peer Support Specialist and Case Manager certified in Oregon to join our team and deliver non-clinical support for members with substance use disorders.

This fully remote role requires residence in Oregon, a private HIPAA-compliant workspace, and a 40-hour workweek. Salary range is $40,000–$46,000 with benefits including health, life, 401(k), paid leave and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience as a peer support specialist for people with substance use disorders is preferred.
• Location: Must live and work within the state of Oregon.
• Set-Up: Private, HIPAA-compliant workspace with reliable internet.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to members through one-on-one and group sessions, to foster community, build self-esteem, and support long-term recovery.
• Provide member case management support with accessing community resources and overcoming barriers to treatment.
• Perform telephone outreach to potential members referred to Affect from referral partners.
• Provide education on wellness and recovery skills, while serving as a mentor and role model.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in our EMR.
