Job summary

Affect is seeking an empathic Peer Support Specialist and Case Manager certified in Oregon to join the team and provide peer support services for substance use disorders and case management for all members. This fully remote role requires residing in Oregon and active Oregon OHA certification.

Your lived experience of recovery is a strength at Affect. You will work with our clinical team to offer guidance, mentoring, and resources, while maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation and supporting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Oregon OHA Peer Support Specialist certification.
• At least 2 years of professional peer support experience for substance use disorders preferred.
• Must reside and work within the state of Oregon.
• Private, HIPAA-compliant workspace with reliable internet.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to members through one-on-one and group sessions to foster community and recovery.
• Provide member case management support with access to resources and barrier removal.
• Perform telephone outreach to potential members referred by partners.
• Educate on wellness and recovery skills while mentoring and modeling.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EMR.

Affect is seeking an empathic Peer Support Specialist and Case Manager certified in Oregon, to join the team and provide both peer support services for substance use disorders and case management for all members. As a Peer Support Specialist and Case Manager, you will work closely with our clinical team to deliver non-clinical support, providing individualized guidance, mentoring, and resources to members.

Location: Remote, Must reside in Oregon

Certification: Active, Oregon OHA Peer Support Specialist

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours), Monday-Friday

Pay: $40,000 - $46,000

What You'll Do

• Provide peer support to members through one-on-one and group sessions, to foster community, build self-esteem, and support long-term recovery.
• Provide member case management support with accessing community resources and overcoming barriers to treatment.
• Perform telephone outreach to potential members referred to Affect from referral partners.
• Provide education on wellness and recovery skills, while serving as a mentor and role model.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in our EMR.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certification: Active, Oregon OHA Peer Support Specialist
• Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience as a peer support specialist for people with substance use disorders is preferred
• Location: Must live and work within the state of Oregon
• Set-Up: Private, HIPAA-compliant workspace with reliable internet
