University Health Partners of Hawai'i seeks a part-time Peer Specialist to support the Hoʻola UTelehealth program remotely with occasional travel in Hawaii. The role involves peer-led recovery support, collaboration with the treatment team, and development of coping skills for clients seeking to regain control of their recovery.

The position requires HCPS certification, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and willingness to obtain WRAP facilitation if not already certified.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Hawaii Peer Specialist (HCPS) is required.
• At least 1 year experience providing direct services in SUD/mental health.
• WRAP Facilitator certification preferred; must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Driver’s license preferred with insured vehicle.
• BLS CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Hoʻola UTelehealth program and treatment team.
• Provide ongoing peer support, screening, and input into recovery plans.
• Assist with development of coping skills and relapse prevention plans.
• Attend clinical supervision with QMHP/MHP as required by accreditation.
• Facilitate peer support groups and reduce stigma around mental health.
