Job summary

American Specialty Health Incorporated (ASH) is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our Finance department. This remote role supports bi-weekly payroll processing and reporting for a multi-state workforce, with strict adherence to wage and hour laws and internal controls.

The successful candidate will manage payroll systems (UltiPro/Kronos), ensure data accuracy, respond to payroll inquiries, and assist with year-end reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Accounting or 3–4 years of commensurate experience.
• 2 years of experience with computerized, multi-state payroll systems and multi-company processing.
• Experience handling a complex payroll on a national scale for 1,000+ employees.
• Advanced experience in HRIS and Time & Attendance software (UltiPro and Kronos preferred).
• Knowledge of wage & hour laws at federal, state and local levels.

Responsibilities

• Execute all payroll processing and payroll reporting.
• Coordinate bi-weekly payroll timelines and ensure on-time processing.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and company policies.
• Manage payroll inbox and data entry requests; respond promptly.
• Assist in automated payroll systems and time/attendance integrations.
• Audit time & attendance, overtime, PTO, holidays, and other deductions.
• Prepare and reconcile year-end reporting and W-2s; assist with audits.
• Collaborate with HR and Compliance to develop payroll policies and controls.
