Job summary

Evolution Research Group (ERG) is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join the HR team and manage payroll processing, taxation forms, and benefits inquiries. The role supports multiple entities and states, ensuring accurate timecard entry and timely payroll cycles.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in payroll, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Paycom or similar software. Remote work option available with comprehensive benefits in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal, FICA, state and local withholding rules for payroll.
• 3–5 years of payroll experience including multi-site/state payroll processing.
• Strong financial and analytical acumen.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CPP/FPC certification desired.
• Experience with Paycom or similar payroll software.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review and enter/import employee timecards into the payroll system.
• Review payroll documentation for accuracy and make adjustments as needed.
• Obtain required approvals for payroll transactions from site directors or executive staff.
• Collaborate with the Human Resources Department on payroll inquiries and benefits.
• Research and resolve payroll questions related to PTO, garnishments, tax issues, and retroactive pay.
• Process payroll for multiple entities across different states on schedule.
• Assist finance to prepare and record monthly payroll, PTO, and bonus accruals.
• Review year-end statements (941, 940, state forms, W-2) for accuracy.
• Prepare ad hoc financial and analytical reports for management.
• Participate on projects as needed by the company.
