Job summary

Pro-Vac is seeking a Payroll Lead to serve as the technical expert for our payroll department. You will oversee multi-state payroll administration, certified payroll, prevailing wage compliance, and union payroll while driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience across multiple legal entities.
• Strong knowledge of certified payroll administration and prevailing wage compliance.
• Experience administering union payroll and fringe benefit reporting.
• Experience with Paylocity or similar payroll/HRIS platform.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and payroll auditing/reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly payroll processing across multiple companies and states.
• Manage certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting.
• Administer union payroll and fringe benefit reporting.
• Review payroll audits and resolve discrepancies before finalization.
• Support payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Serve as Paylocity subject matter expert and troubleshoot issues.
• Improve payroll processes and mentor Payroll Specialists.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure accuracy.
• Provide backup leadership to Payroll Manager when needed.
