Job summary

StandardAero is seeking a Payroll Operations Manager to oversee payroll across the U.S. and Canada. You will lead a payroll team, ensure on-time, accurate processing, and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong technical payroll knowledge and collaboration with HR, Finance, and business partners. You will drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and stay current on regulatory changes to support payroll operations across

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive payroll experience.
• Experience managing payroll teams.
• Experience in a large, multi-state, multi-jurisdictional payroll environment.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax, deductions, and year-end reporting.
• Understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Experience with HR/payroll systems, integrations, and third-party providers.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for the U.S. and Canada, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage payroll schedules, processing activities, reconciliations, approvals, and reporting.
• Review payroll results, resolve discrepancies, and handle off-cycle payments.
• Oversee payroll funding, general ledger reconciliations, and coordination with Finance.
• Lead quarter-end and year-end payroll activities and tax reporting.
• Provide hands-on payroll support as needed.
• Lead, coach, and develop the North American payroll team.
• Manage workloads to meet deadlines and service expectations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen controls.
• Maintain payroll procedures and system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with payroll laws and SOX.
