Job summary

Tate Americas is seeking a Payroll Lead to oversee remote, end-to-end payroll operations. You will ensure accurate compensation, resolve complex issues, and maintain compliance across federal, state, and local laws while partnering with HR and Finance.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in payroll, proficiency with ADP/Workday, and strong Excel skills. A CPP is preferred and a discretionary bonus applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR or related field.
• 5–7 years of payroll processing or administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards.
• Experience with ADP, Workday or similar systems.
• Proficiency in Excel and payroll data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely compensation.
• Process payroll transactions including wages, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments.
• Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies before submission.
• Ensure payroll schedules and reporting requirements are met.
• Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Resolve complex payroll issues and respond to employee inquiries.
• Support audits with required payroll documentation and reports.
• Monitor payroll laws changes and implement updates.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and stakeholders to align processes.
• Train and onboard payroll staff on systems and processes.
• Identify process-improvement opportunities for accuracy and efficiency.
