Doubtless North America is hiring a Payroll Compliance Analyst to serve as a SME for payroll compliance, governance, risk management, and payroll tax operations across US and Canadian entities. The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, audits experience, and collaboration with HR, Finance, Legal, and external service providers.

The role is hybrid with in-office expectations in NYC and NYC area, with 2 days per week on site; base pay ranges reflect market norms for senior payroll roles in

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive payroll experience.
• 3+ years of experience in payroll compliance, payroll tax, audit, risk management, governance, or related functions.
• Experience supporting complex multi-state payroll environments.
• Experience supporting Canadian payroll operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive Payroll Compliance & Regulatory Excellence across US and Canada: monitor regulations and implement changes.
• Strengthen Audit Readiness: conduct reviews, audits, and control testing; assist with regulatory examinations.
• Lead Payroll Tax Compliance: review tax configurations, filings, remittances, and agency responses.
• Ensure Accurate Employee Pay Practices: analyze transactions for compliance and resolve issues.
• Support organizational growth: assist with acquisitions and new entities payroll transitions.
• Enhance Controls: maintain governance docs and SOPs; pursue automation opportunities.
• Deliver Reporting & Insights: create dashboards and metrics for leadership.
