Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager in the United States to own end-to-end payroll and benefits for a mixed workforce. The role covers multi-state payroll, benefits administration, and quarterly travel with remote flexibility and quarterly office visits.

You will collaborate with People Operations and Finance to improve controls, reporting, and employee experience, while managing Canada payroll via an EOR partner and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of progressive payroll and benefits experience.
• Experience with multi-state, biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial operations preferred.
• CPP or FPC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll for hourly, shift-based, and salaried employees.
• Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies across cycles.
• Manage payroll corrections, retroactive payments, and off-cycle payrolls.
• Maintain payroll and benefits controls and documentation.
• Coordinate Canadian payroll via EOR partner.
• Administer medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement benefits.
• Partner with People Operations on benefits renewals and communications.
• Produce payroll and benefits reports for HR, Finance, and leadership.
• Oversee payroll-related HRIS configurations and workflows.
• Ensure confidentiality of compensation information.
