This primarily remote position may require occasional meetings in Hopkins, MN or Marshall, MN, and candidates must be located within the specified geographic area.

Qualifications

• The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Solid understanding of payroll principles, regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and verify timekeeping records for accuracy.
• Process payroll data including wages, bonuses, commissions, overtime, and adjustments.
• Analyze and reconcile payroll data for timely payments.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve payroll record issues.
• Audit payroll activities for policy and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure payroll complies with federal, state, and local laws.
• Verify prorations and retro pay calculations.
• Maintain accurate payroll records in the system.
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other teams for data integrity.
