Job summary

Noridian is seeking a Payroll Analyst to manage accurate, timely payroll processing for Noridian and affiliates, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws. You will handle data across the employee lifecycle, including new hires, changes, and terminations, while coordinating with HR and Finance for proper payroll operations.

The role requires handling garnishments, retirement payroll, audits, and confidential data with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
• Payroll or related experience.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes and reconciles employee payroll accurately and timely in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Collects, reviews, and maintains payroll data throughout the employee lifecycle, including new hires, employee changes, and terminations.
• Performs payroll adjustments for deductions, benefits, garnishments, retroactive pay, and status changes.
• Balances payroll data prior to finalization, validates payroll reports, disburses employee payments, and prepares check or electronic payment requests.
• Prepares payroll-related journal entries, reconciles payroll and related accounts, and supports third-party billings and vendor payments.
• Administers wage garnishments in accordance with applicable regulations and coordinates with internal and external partners to ensure proper calculation, withholding, and remittance.
• Supports retirement and benefit payroll processes, including setup, payroll file transmission, compliance support, and related reconciliations.
• Responds to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner, resolving issues within scope and escalating complex matters as appropriate.
• Assists with internal and external payroll-related audits and provide required documentation and support.
• Maintains confidentiality of payroll and employee data and collaborates with HR, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to support payroll operations.
