Sentara Health is seeking a Payment Policy Research Analyst & Technical Writer to identify new medical cost savings opportunities and present findings for Sentara Health Plan (SHP). You will analyze data, leverage insights, and collaborate with SMEs to deploy savings within payment/reimbursement policies.

The role involves policy development, publication, and working with internal/external stakeholders to deliver initiatives aligned with health plan goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor level degree preferred.
• 3 years health plan experience or 3 years medical coding required.
• 3 years health plan claim auditing or appeals preferred.
• BS/BA/advanced degree in health care or medical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research internal payment policies to identify cost savings.
• Assess strategies to achieve savings via policy changes, criteria, contracts.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to deliver payment initiatives.
