Job summary

Amatus Health is seeking a Payer Contract Specialist to lead contract discussions with leadership and payers. This remote role focuses on negotiating reimbursement rates, fee schedules, and participation terms while maintaining documentation and identifying growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of government and commercial payer contracting experience, with a preference for Behavioral Health experience, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Government and Commercial Payor contracting experience, including negotiations, reimbursement, contract terms, amendments, renewals, and agreements
• Behavioral Health contracting experience a plus
• Understand and interpret Hospital contract language
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience

Responsibilities

• Lead contract discussions and negotiations with leadership and key stakeholders
• Negotiate reimbursement rates, fee schedules, participation terms, and contract requirements
• Develop strong relationships with payer contacts, leadership, and the credentialing team
• Maintain consistent follow-up throughout the contracting process to drive agreements towards completion
• Track contracting activity, renewals, outstanding terms, negotiations, and follow-ups
• Experience in SUD and MH preferred
