Job summary

Amatus Health is seeking a Payer Contract Specialist to join our remote team. You will lead discussions with leadership and payer contacts, negotiate reimbursement rates, fee schedules, and participation terms, and maintain contract records to support company growth.

The role requires 3+ years in government and commercial payor contracting, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Behavioral health contracting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Government and Commercial Payor Contracting experience, including negotiations, reimbursement, contract terms, amendments, renewals, and agreements.
• Behavioral Health contracting experience a plus
• Understand and interpret Hospital contract language
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Lead contract discussions and negotiations with leadership and key stakeholders
• Negotiate reimbursement rates, fee schedules, participation terms, and contract requirements
• Develop strong relationships with payer contacts, leadership, and the credentialing team
• Maintain consistent follow-up throughout the contracting process to drive agreements towards completion
• Track contracting activity, renewals, outstanding terms, negotiations, and follow-ups
• Maintain accurate documentation and contract records
• Support the organization's growth by identifying opportunities and closing agreements
