UnitedHealth Group is seeking a friendly Patient Service Specialist for an OBGYN/Fertility specialty clinic. You will support patient scheduling, insurance verification, and top‑tier customer service in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time 40-hour/week position offers potential remote work within MA and on-site support as needed, collaborating with a dedicated care team and following Lean processes. Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma/GED, 1+ year clinical customer service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1+ years of customer service experience in a clinical setting.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook preferred.
• Previous call center experience also valued.
• EPIC EMR experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verifies, re-verifies and authorizes patient insurance coverage and eligibility using registration/scheduling system.
• Verifies demographic, insurance and other patient information.
• Handles a high volume of incoming calls.
• Cross-trains to support multiple teams/departments.
• Manages patient-care related inquiries via a work queue.
• Escalates to supervisors as needed.
